I love Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner so when I saw she came out with Tattoo Brow, I was all over it. I grabbed Medium Brown, since my hair color is naturally pretty dark.
I love this pen. The brush tip makes drawing in fake hairs amazingly easy. I am crazy about how nicely and naturally this fills in brows. Its a great idea, a brow pen, it works beautifully. My only problem is the shade. In some light Medium Brown runs a bit red. I swatched it next to my beloved Hourglass Arch in Dark Brunette to demonstrate.
I took these pictures in different lighting so you can see what I mean. While in cooler light Kat Von D Medium Brown looks ashy, you can tell that the Hourglass pencil looks ashy in both lights (warm and cool). I really find that ashy toned brow products look the most realistic on me (this can vary some based on your hair tone). I think Kat Von D Tattoo Brow looks great most of the time, but it does bother me that it has some red undertones in it.
You can get this really amazing brown pen (which I wish was more ashy) at Sephora and online for $19 (comes in three shades, blonde, light brown, and medium brown).
The rundown: A-
that looks like a fab brow pencil 🙂 really want to try some KVD x
