Make Up For Ever Smokey Extravagant Mascara

MUFE Smokey Extravagant Mascara – Travel Size

I tried this mascara as a mini when I traveled recently. I always like having a mini mascara when I travel, it is just much more convenient.

the divine brush

Smokey Extravagant has a great brush. Its a fiber brush and it is huge. I love how it tapers so you can get into the inner corners and get the lower lash line easily. Its great. It also does a great job of keeping your lashes separated and fanned out.

Its the formula that I’m not a huge fan of. I find it mostly lengthening, which is great, if that is the effect you are looking for. I am a volume girl, so its not for me. The formula is also very wet, which is also not my favorite. Not to say either of those things are bad, they are just not my mascara preference. One thing I do find odd about this mascara is that it never actually sets. It stays wet/tacky on my lashes all day. It doesn’t transfer or smear, but somehow it just doesn’t dry. I find this doesn’t flake either, I really had no wear issues with this.

This is a good mascara, its just not my style. I think if you are looking for some good length and a pretty awesome brush, this one is for you.

You can get this mascara at Make Up For Ever stores, Sephora and online for $24.

The rundown: B

  1. I tried this recently, too, and also found it too wet/not volumizing enough. Also, the brush was large enough that it wasn’t very easy for me to use to get to the root of the lashes on my small-ish eyes. I liked MUFE’s Smoky Lash mascara better, but not enough to purchase the full size. Too bad, because I love their new eye shadow formula and the Rough Artist Natural lipstick line.
