NARS Final Cut Collection Brings Springtime to your Face

NARS Final Cut Collection Pieces

Hi guys, I hauled some of the Final Cut collection (exclusive to Nordstrom). I just wanted to mention what I got and put up some reviews in case you were eyeing this one.

I grabbed three blushes and two satin lip pencils. I got the blushes in Love, New Attitude and, Final Cut. The satin lip pencils I got are Descanso and Torres Del Paine. They were just the colors that were most appealing to me, reviews below!

I got two matchy-matchy sets. They are: Love and Descanso, Final Cut and Torres Del Paine.

For my first set, I really love the color of Love and the matching Satin Lip Pencil, Descanso. They are a dusty rose color that looks really natural and lovely (ha!) on my skin tone. I found Love blush to have a really nice texture and blend well. It also lasted all day on my oily skin. I also really love the formula of the Satin Lip Pencils, they are creamy without being too drying or too glossy, so they look pretty and natural.

My second matchy-matchy set, Final Cut blush and Torres Del Paine Satin Lip Pencil, are more of a peachy/orange duo.

NARS Final Cut Blush

I love these colors! I really like orange on my skin tone, but if you don’t I would skip the Satin Lip Pencil here, since it came off very orange on me. I found Final Cut a bit powdery, so when I put my brush in the pan it kicked up a bunch of powder. Just be careful and you shouldn’t loose too much product. Thankfully, the powderiness (is that a word? now it is.) did not transfer to the skin, and it looks really lovely on. This one was also the most pigmented of the three blushes I picked up. Torres Del Paine behaved just like Descanso, that is to say, really nicely. I really love this formula from NARS, and now I want to pick up a bunch more!

The last blush I picked up was New Attitude. This is a cool toned pink, but it has a nice tone to it (its not too pale, so it won’t wash you out). I found this to be the least pigmented blush of the three, but it builds really nicely on the skin. It would be a good pick if you like natural looking pink cheeks.

Overall, I really love this collection. I think the pieces I got are great quality and, I love this color palette with Valentines day and Spring around the corner. I think its lovely that NARS came out with matching lip/cheek colors, since that creates a romantic, put together look. None of the shades go too sweet though, so you won’t feel childish in your pretty pinks and peaches.
