Happy Halloween! This stuff is kind of talked up, like everyone talks about it. People love it, lots. So when my parents (bless them) went to Paris on vacation earlier this year (yes, I was jealous), I made my mom promise to pick me up some. Sadly, this makeup removing workhorse is not available stateside (le sigh, as the French would say) you can snag yourself some on ebay or amazon.

The claim here is to remove makeup gently, and effectively, while cleaning your face. This isn’t a cleanser, but the idea is that you can swipe your makeup off at night and go to bed (sans cleansing) feeling like your skin is squeaky clean. I found this removes my makeup really nicely. It also does not leave any residue on the skin, so it does fell really nice and clean post use.

To illustrate its makeup removing powers I used it to remove some swatches I did for my post on Monday on L’Oreal’s Butterfly mascara and their Super Slim liner. I wet a cotton pad and swiped once. I did not apply a large amount of pressure, but this is really just an idea, I don’t make promises for Bioderma.

I think this is a really nice makeup remover, I don’t think its changed my life, which I guess I kind of expected it to after all the chatter about it. I think if you can get some, its fun to try, but don’t agonize over not having it. It removes makeup, it doesn’t cure all your skin problems or anything.

The rundown: B+

  1. I totally agree with your sentiments. While it is a good product, it has definitely been overhyped by the beauty community. However, I will continue using it because it is pretty good!
